Welcome to Field Trip USA - An American Family Adventure
Thanks for joining the Whitneys on our seven month journey across the lower 48 states. After over 25 years working in high technology, my wife and I decided it was time to shake things up a little. So we pulled our kids out of school (Brian is a sophmore this year, Laura an eight grader), rented our house out in Portland, bought a 5th wheel trailer and a used GMC pickup, and hit the road. The kids are taking home school classes remotely over the internet, but much of their learning is provided by the people and places we visit along the road. Welcome aboard!
